Creating opportunity

DSP endeavours to contribute to widening access to the built-environment sector, broadening opportunities for young people and underrepresented professionals.

DSP maintains an outreach programme focusing on professional development and educational opportunity, through which we have built a strong relationship with King Solomon Academy in North London.

Initiatives have included a speed-networking event for 13–15 year-olds to share insights on professional routes into real estate, and continuing involvement with the academy’s careers programme.

Over two workplace visits, we presented DSP’s work and structure to students, toured the Parcels Building, and facilitated an interactive simulation of the daily decisions we face in real estate.

Through these sessions we hope to make a contribution to rectifying the current lack of diversity in the industry by encouraging students from varied backgrounds to explore opportunities in real estate. We also hope to instil confidence in students by encouraging them to express their ideas in unfamiliar environments.

“I cannot express enough gratitude and praise... You have set the bar incredibly high for all their work experiences to come, and I hope you can share your amazing work across the network.”

Sharing our knowledge

Impacting communities

DSP is proud to support a number of charitable organisations, selected for the transformative impact they have on the lives of people in our neighbourhood, in London and around the world.

Supporting our people

We endeavour to make DSP a workplace where our teams can thrive, and are empowered to progress and develop personally and professionally.

Promoting wellbeing

Bursaries allow employees to be reimbursed up to a fixed amount for expenditure incurred on physical wellbeing incentives.

We provide health insurance to all employees and offer the opportunity to attend a health risk assessment every two years. All employees have completed this assessment in the last 24 months.

Teams have opportunities to adopt flexible working and vary start and end times.

Our electric vehicle salary-sacrifice scheme supports our commitment to environmental sustainability while helping our employees save money on the cost of more eco-friendly transport choices.

Fuelling learning & development

We budget for group and individual professional development opportunities such as workshops, conferences and online training. In 2025 we spent 71% of this budget on training opportunities tailored to our team’s needs.

Regular ‘Lunch-and-learn’ sessions share team-specific insights with the wider group alongside specialist sessions from external providers, covering areas such as pensions, AI and cyber security.

Through internal collaboration workshops focused on enhancing departmental communication, organisational tools and systems, presentational skills and more, we have improved the way we interact and work together as a business.

Staff are offered subsidies for formal educational opportunities. This has included accountancy qualifications and English as a second language.
